'L'altra distilleria di Campbeltown' ha avuto una carriera movimentata, con molti cambi di proprietà e molti periodi di chiusura. Si dice sia infestata dal fantasma dell'ultimo proprietario, che si uccise gettandosi nel Campbeltown Loch dopo essere stato truffato. Nonostante nel periodo 1979/82 sia stata rinnovata con una spesa di 1 milione di sterline, è rimasta chiusa fino al 1989. Il suo nuovo proprietario è andato in liquidazione nel 1994 e la proprietà è passata alla distilleria Loch Lomond. E' stata riaperta nell'autunno del 1999.

"The other Campbeltown distillery" has had a chequered career, with many changes of ownership and periods of silence. It is reputed to be haunted by the ghost of a previous owner, who drowned himself in Campbeltown Loch after being swindled. In spite of a £1 million refurbishment in 1979/82, it remained closed until 1989. Its new owner went into liquidation in 1994, and the distillery passed to Loch Lomond Distillery. It was reopened in Autumn 1999.
