Il nome di questa distilleria in gaelico significa lo 'Stretto di Islay', sul quale si affaccia, con in lontananza i Paps of Jura. Fondata nella decade 1840, è una delle distillerie ricostruite da DCL nel 1972, quando il numero degli alambicchi fu aumentato a 6. Il malto è importante sia per il Bells 8 anni che per Johnnie Walker Black Label, così non è facile trovarlo come single malt, anche se viene spesso imbottigliato da independent bottlers.

The name of this distillery is Gaelic for the "Sound of Islay", which it overlooks, with distant views of the Paps of Jura beyond. Founded in the 1840s, it was one of those rebuilt by DCL in 1972, when it was extended from two to six stills. The malt is important for both Bell's 8 Year Old and Johnnie Walker Black Label blends, so is not common as a single, though it is frequently bottled by independent bottlers.
